" Last night, Friday, September 19th, thieves broke into my house on Via Sant'Albino while I was inside . I immediately called 112, but was told they had no patrols available." The complaint comes from a resident who contacted the Varesenews editorial staff to report the incident.

The thieves fled undisturbed, or perhaps they struck at another house . Fortunately, private security intervened to check, but I don't feel safe at all. Is it normal to have to live in fear in a residential area? Is the only solution really to get a gun license to defend yourself? It's unacceptable that the police aren't intervening. I'm a bitter and speechless citizen.
